Hmmm... [23 Oct 2004|12:08am]
Hello all readers,

Tonight was a pretty good night I guess. I went to something that the Spanish class was putting on. It was a dance fund raiser and It was pretty neat. I went with a guy named Andy and he and I got along pretty good. Sort of hit it off better than I thought. I thought he was going to be annoying, but it turned out that he wasn't and he was nice. He offered to walk me home, so I let him.
We talked about stuff like when we got sick off being drunk, stories about the crazy things we both did and college stuff, too. I doubt it'll go beyond friendship, but it was really nice to be able to get out for once with someone who you can talk easily with. I think I really needed tonight, even though I really didn't get up and dance. Just talking with someone helps and being able to forget homework for a while. I'm still sort of nervous because he was the first guy I really talked to for a long time outside of class cercumstances since brian...or at least the first guy I talked to in person who was like right here in front of me. But with time that will pass I suppose. So....now the rest of the weekend is going to seem to drag by like...boredom. I'd like to find someone to take me to that Terry Tempest Williams thing on Sunday, but we'll see.
Terry Tempest Williams is an author who wrote a book called "Open Space of Democracy." It's a collection of essalys on a wide variety of subjects including political ones. She is coming to Florida Gulf Coast University SSunday and Monday and Iwould like to make it to both Lectures, but we'll see.
So now that I am done explaining...I will see you all's later.

OK readers,

I would like to take my e-mail server and crunch it. For some reason it keeps giving me the same nineteen messages over and over again and it's not giving me any new messages at all...and it is getting rather annoying. And it's only doing it with the folder where I keep all of my lists which makes it doubly annoying....arhrhrhrhrhrg!!!!

I checked out a certain journal that littletia has mentioned often times in her LJ...I give credit where credit is due, so
Congrats to mongwen she just made me laugh myself blue in the face.

After his death, Osama bin Laden went to heaven.

There he was greeted by George Washington, who proceeded to slap him across the face and yell at him, "How dare you try to destroy the nation I helped conceive!"

Patrick Henry approached and punched Osama in the nose and shouted, "You wanted to end our liberties but you failed."

James Madison entered, kicked Osama and said, "This is why I allowed our government to provide for the common defense!"

Thomas Jefferson came in and proceeded to beat Osama many times with a long cane and said, "It was evil men like you that provided me the inspiration to
pen the Declaration of Independence!"

These beatings and thrashings continued as John Rudolph, James Monroe and 66 other early Americans came in and unleashed their anger on the Muslim terrorist
leader.

As Osama lay bleeding and writhing! in unbearable pain an Angel appeared.
Bin Laden wept in pain and said to the Angel, "This is not what you promised me."

The Angel replied, "I told you there would be 72 Virginians waiting for you up here. What did you think I said?"

and there you are all...one of the best ben laden jokes in a while...according to said source and I tend to agree...

Hmm... [23 Oct 2004|10:00pm]

I think maybe...

I'm beginning to think I may have to keep this Andy guy at arm's length. He came looking for me about two hours ago and left when I didn't answer the door. A couple of my other building residents told me that he had been looking for me. I ordered from Marsala's Pizza and Heather and Brian, the two who told me Andy had been looking for me, hung out with me for a while. During that, Andy came over and we hung out after both of them, Brian and Heather left. I had gone to the bathroom, and he started looking at the game systems we have stashed here. We have a PS2 and a super NES and he was looking at the games. He found one that he liked and asked if he could play it. I said Ididn't know because they weren't mine. He was respectful enough to leave them alone, which bodes well for my impression of him. I sang a couple of songs for him, My Immortal and It Wasn't Me. After that he told me that he had been involved with someone for a very long time and that now it wasn't working out and that they were going through a rather nasty break-up and that it had been going on for about four months or so...damn my instincts take off without me sometimes. I had no idea that I was playing to his rather...depressed state of mind. I hope, in some way though, that it helped him. Maybe music does do some good...though with him I wouldn't know...or at least not yet. I just hope he doesn't make a habit of coming over every day or I will be hard put to have patience with him. I know we went out last night and all, and I did tell him he was the first guy I had been out with since my last boyfriend, but that doesn't mean instant dating...and I did tell him today that I'm not looking for a boyfriend. I was sort of glad to hear he was involved until he talked about the break up. Now...well I don't know. I do like the guy, he seems nice, I just hope he doesn't become like a human leech.
I mean, this is what I wanted, friends and all, but ones that become too clingy might become a problem. I am thankful for the friends I am finally being able to make, but if this one is going to become a problem, how do I tell him nicely to back off?
