I had an interesting day today...met a couple of new friends!!
Gillian had gon to work out and I thought maybe lia would call, so I waited a bit, but she never did, so I just decided I wanted to go on my own. Gillian was nice enough to walk me there and then at my request left me to my own devices when I got there.
I spent a goodly amount of time on the treadmill. During that time, Jeremy called and I talked to him while walking on the treadmill. I had a couple of da stupid moments when I had my foot on the side and nearly took a fall, but I mannaged to stay standing. I got off after Jeremy let me go and there was an older lady who asked me if I needed help and I told her that I wanted to go to the elyptical machines. On the way up there she told me that she was one of the older people who came to the gym to keep her legs in shape so she could travel. I was mainly there today to do cardiovascular stuff.
When I got to the elyptical machines, there were two girls who were willing to help me out. So they set the machine for ten minutes and went away to do another machine. I had this panicky feeling of...would they come back or would they just forget about me. Well...panic unfounded, though it seemed like it had been more than ten minutes when they came back. The elyptical machines are damned hard work!!! So then they asked me if I wanted to go to the bikes and I said yes, so they took me to the bikes and set that for ten minutes as well. Buy this time I was definitely feeling my work out in my legs and lower part of the body. I was thinking about leaving, but I didn't want to make them go out of there way. So they said they were going to do ab work outs and then leave, so they offered to let me leave with them...yea!!! They even had driven, so that was even better. I had them drop me off at the Union so I could ead lunch. I ended up having brunch because I got two cokes, a water, hamburger with fries and an Almlet.
The girls, names were Jackie and Alisa and the older woman was margaret.I'm glad I decided to go today, I enjoyed myself very much. I also saw Lia, my friend who I thought would call, there, but she was doing something a lot different than I was, so we didn't stay together long. She was doing ab work and swimming, and I had just started my cardiovascular stuff. I thought it was rather interesting that we ran into each other like that.
OK now for the most interesting part of this entry. Some of you are going to envy me. I am going to add a name in here that they didn't have because they weren't a direct celebrity, but I still think this is kind of cool. Also, I didn't realize how many people shared my b-day!!!
